- Patrick White was acquitted of all marijuana charges in Fairfield on Wednesday and is still in jail pending a probation violation hearing.
- Jim Tranmer’s sister is organizating a petition for clemency, and a petition for reduction of sentence – Jim is serving a 35 year federal sentence for marijuana in Springfield, MO.
- Senator Grassley tells the Des Moines Register that he wants to debate drug legalization.
- Americans for Safe Access is promoting the Truth In Trials Act in the U.S. House, H.R. 3939, which would allow evidence of compliance with state medical marijuana laws in federal trials.
- Oregon has ordered it’s Board of Pharmacy to remove marijuana from Oregon’s schedule I and place it in one of the other four schedules, II, III, IV, or V.
- Carl Olsen is demanding a copy of the Iowa’s rules for the sacramental use of peyote – the Iowa Supreme Court seems to think Iowa has some.
