About Pat

Pat Bertroche, The Reasonable Republican

Pat grew up in the small farm town of Indianola, just south of Des Moines.  He grew up with the values Iowans learn: Hard work, loyalty, dedication, and education.  He graduated from Drake University, then went to Des Moines’ medical school, Des Moines University, and opened his practice in Clive, Iowa.  He is a small business man, and has been creating jobs in central Iowa for the last 26 years.  He understands the needs of all Iowans, from small business people to farmer and ranchers to insurance and health care.  Pat has dedicated his life to serving the needs of Iowans, and is seeking to expand his service by running and winning the seat currently held by Rep. Leonard Boswell.

Pat is single, and has one son who is in the Marine reserves.  He likes to deep sea fish, SCUBA, snorkel, ski, and occasionally hunt.
