About Patricia

I am Des Moines, Iowa born and bred. A graduate of North High and Grand View College, all of my life has been spent in the old home town except for a few short spaces of time when I served my country in the United States Air Force and took part in various other educational adventures. My life as a wife, mother, widow and wife combine with my many past workplace roles and other experiences to create within me a decidedly enthusiastic, passionate nature. Because I was raised a United Methodist, converted to Lutheranism as an adult, graduated from a Baptist seminary and find myself currently serving within the Presbyterian Church, PUSA, I consider myself most ecumenically equipped and ready to return to God the favor and gift of my time and energy after his extravagant investment in me over the years.

My passions revolve around my beloved husband, Roger, friends, family and pets as well as a long list of interests and hobbies with God, at the top of that list, as my favorite passion. He is the reason that everything else is worth my time and makes life interesting and fun. He is the source of all my drive, all my strength and inspiration. He is the refiner of my identity as his servant in matters of faith and patriotism as well as servant and educator to his people. I am both literally and figurative the first amendment married to the second amendment. It is my life goal to continue the trend and tradition in which God has allowed me to do everything I have ever dreamed of doing, one way or another. And it my desire to help other people discover and explore their passions and invite them to enter into God’s gift of celebrating the life he has given all of his human creations.
